Service Roundup
ATA will be adding service from Chicago-Midway to Oakland and Ontario, effective May 11th.
ATA will also add service three times per week from Oakland to Kona, Hawaii effective June 14th. On June 15th, they will begin service four times weekly from Oakland to Lihui, Hawaii and daily nonstop service from Las Vegas to Maui, Hawaii.

Chicago City Council Could Mandate Passenger Bill of Rights
Upgrade Travel alerted us to this developing situation in Chicago. Apparently, a group of Chicago’s alderman(city council members), are proposing a bill that would block airlines landing at either of Chicago’s area airports if they fail to have a passenger bill of rights in place.

Delta Increases Chicago to New York Service
Effective February 15, Delta is increasing its service between Chicago and New York. Delta’s domestic routes of late seem to be paralleling their competition. Jetblue expands to Chicago, Delta follows. US Airways makes a bid for Delta, they announce first New York to Phoenix service and then Salt Lake City to Charlotte service.

Delta Announces Nonstop Service Between Boston and Chicago-Midway
Delta announced on Monday they would be inaugurating service from Boston’s Logan Airport and Chicago-Midway effective January 11, 2007. The service, operated by Comair, will offer three flights on weekdays and two on weekends using 50-seater regional jets.
